The problem (for Ds) is that people don’t obey.
If you’ve ever had a pot enthusiast friend/family member/whatever point out how badly Prohibition went and how the War On Drugs failed ... you can imagine how compliance in the War On Life is going. Does anyone actually imagine people are just waiting to die with no job and starving kids?
At this point I assume everyone not actively under the thumb of a tyrant governor and willing sheriff is getting on with things, but I don’t ask anyone to rat out their fellow patriots.
Not one dime should be given to the blue states.
Screw them.
The thing is, there are plenty of Republicans/conservatives in those blue states who are fed up with the nonsense going on in their states.
The red states are not alone because we all know that even in the blue states, it’s the cities, not everyone.
I dont think the people will keep putting up with the lock downs in the blue states.There will be the ones that stay put but there are going to be big problems in those states with the ones that wont stay put.
I think that after yesterday’s two special election losses the Democrat consultants are going to be jumping all over their governors to get off the lockdowns.
There are some in the blue states that are really red & fed up, but mild-mannered & are not troublemakers. However long they might remain this way is questionable unless their governors & local officials straighten up & fly right. It seems that too many of the governors are concerned only with the big population centers in their states & every decision made is based on them. Makes me think that maybe state/local elections need their own electoral college system.
