I wonder if it has anything to do with Rush, and working from home. 30 years ago, I would do lunch in my car to listen to Rush.

Now everyone is working from home - more opportunities to listen to Rush; and he mentioned recently HIS numbers are up

People are at home & sick & tired of this lockdown -- and the only voice of reason about the realities of this pandemic is talk radio, hence, WMAL in DC.

It also speaks to Trump's popularity. The numbers are HUGE (see on link above), so for these numbers to come up in such a liberal city and surrounding liberal areas of DC, it's just BIG BIG BIG NEWS!

A few years ago, Rush said his numbers were really high and they were 27 Million.

This past week he said the numbers were through the roof at 43 million.

That is a 59% increase in just a coupla years.

I started listening to Rush in 1988, and the first few months he was only on the weekend {repeat of week days} on KQV in Pittsburgh, but he got picked up live a few months later and shot to the top of charts, and in 32+ years, no one has ever been close.

Those stats are only beaten by the Ford F 150 which has been number 1 for 42 years.

Both are amazing records.

Makes sense. I’m sure the libs listen to Rush is only to “catch” him on anything he might say. How do radio ratings work? Self reporting, like the Nielson ratings?
