Special election in Calif 25th District (No. Los Angeles into San Bernardino Counties). Interesting as this is the seat of the resigned Katie Hill (2019 sex scandal) who had unseated Cong. Knight in 2018.
Candidates are Christy Smith (D) v Mike Garcia (R). Garcia, a former US Navy pilot and Raytheon employee, is a very attractive candidate and is giving Dems a run for it. The same candidates will rerun in Nov. — this election allows one or the other to run in Nov as “incumbent”.
I note this ‘cause may show Dem tactic for Nov re: virus and how they treat the polling site situation v. vote by mail.
