These dates are wrong. China confirmed that the virus could be transmitted from person to person on January 20th. Japan and Hong Kong had patients with the virus a week before that.

In a response to the German media reports, Chinese diplomats said the opposite was true, arguing that the communist country’s handling of the virus had saved time which had been wasted by governments in other countries. If China says it, it must be true.
