Roy Uwe Ludwig Horn, whose collaboration with Siegfried Fischbacher created the world-renowned duo Siegfried and Roy, died of COVID-19 complications on Friday at a Las Vegas Hospital, their publicist reports.
He was 75.
"Today, the world has lost one of the greats of magic, but I have lost my best friend," said Siegfried in a statement. "From the moment we met, I knew Roy and I, together, would change the world. There could be no Siegfried without Roy, and no Roy without Siegfried."
"Roy was a fighter his whole life including during these final days. I give my heartfelt appreciation to the team of doctors, nurses and staff at Mountain View Hospital who worked heroically against this insidious virus that ultimately took Roy's life," he continued.
Their legendary run in Las Vegas began in 1967 and continued for four decades. The German magicians took up residency at The Mirage in 1989, with a $30 million production that included their famous white tigers.
Horn was attacked by one of those tigers, Mantecore, in October 2003, but survived and remained in public life.
After the attack from Montego the white Tiger, Roy has SEVERAL serious health conditions he NEVER recovered he had a very serious stroke from the attack also it does not surprise me he would not survive this virus!!
I dressed up as Roy Horn for Halloween several years ago. I wore a sparkly vest and a torn and bloody shirt sleeve with a stuffed tiger eating my arm.
For a RAT governor it is imperative that anyone who dies after they have been infected by the virus that death must be listed as being caused by the virus. If a patient recovers from the virus because he/she has been successfully treated with hydroxychloroquine but dies subsequently due to other preconditions then they can’t be counted in the virus death toll. So everything Nevada’s RAT governor has done is consistent with the DNC’s goal of keeping the crisis alive, the economy shut down and continued attacks on Trump.

I am glad I am not drinking to actually think about that in relation to our current crisis.
It looks like I will get to dress up like Roy Horn again this year for Halloween. But this time I will have big Coronavirus spikey cells all over me. And a toy tiger eating my arm.

That being said, even when I am totally sober I cannot understand this fear over what is essentially a seasonal flu. Every year the seasonal flu has been inflicting pain on us from time immemorial and it kills anywhere from 50,000 to 100,000 Americans - every year regardless.
I have never seen this unreasoning fear before and it makes me sad to think that Americans have become frightened children.

People have been divorced from reality for some time, now. The media took advantage of that, stoked the fear, and the politicians took advantage of that.
We live in a world where *likes* on social media have become capital assets.
We live in a world where people photograph their meals and turn their entire lives into a show on FB and Instagram. I actually know someone whose entire Twitter feed is a daily chronicle of where he ate. Even in the lockdown, he simply switched to carry-out.
Caring deeply about what others think of us and believing the minutia of our lives is fascinating gave our controllers all the leverage they needed.
That fear is externally based and multiplied by physical isolation. It’s taken decades to inculcate this sort of belief in the populace. The fear is easily manufactured once people are primed for it.
I will play this game.

He was killed by a tiger. A virus just finished him off.
I also hearing rumors that they were treating him with “Remdesivir”. And they don’t want the public to know that since he died.
