No - you are right. IMO they will work up the ladder so that if Barry is exposed it will be after weeks and months and evidence that Barry is the only logical answer. Kinda like they did with Nixon — when weeks into it they brought on the guy who worked for the WH who said “We had a fully operational tape system in the Oval Office — we taped everyone”. They pretended like it was a shocking accidental release of info but imo all planned. Lawyers know what their clients are going to say.
