Will be seeing more of this, rightly or wrongly. I think much of this comes down to people's distrust of government and also how government has conducted COVID-19 mitigation efforts.

TWO THOUSAND people attended a rodeo in defiance of stay-at-home orders...

This is the "leakage" predicted all along by the Imperial College initial study. It should be neither a surprise nor that much of a concern.

While everyone talks "lockdown" the real world is very different.

We are in the interregnum phase between Wave 1 and Wave 2.

I expect the numbers to bounce around pretty much where they are for a month or so, and then explode again as states open up for business.

I would also expect the Northeast and parts of the Midwest will see a solid reduction in cases and deaths, while the rest of the country (led by urban areas) will be the "surprising" new epicenter of the virus in the US.
