I see the runner runs on the right side of the truck, then at the guy with the shotgun.
The guy in the back of the truck does not have a shotgun.
The first shot goes off in front of the truck. It is screened by the truck, but it appears the runner is very close to the man with the shotgun.

I am not sure if you can see the runners foot by looking under the truck, but he is clearly in front of the truck.
