I call that self defense on the Victim’s part.
Oh please. This guy was not a jogger. He was a burglar. Joggers do not run in Jean shorts that go below the knees. This guy lived with his mother miles away from the neighborhood, which is an isolated all white neighborhood located on a peninsula and only accessible via a four lane divided highway. He did not jog to this neighborhood. My understanding is that there is a video that shows the black guy inside of a house that was under construction in this neighborhood minutes before this encounter. He was a burglar committing a crime, and when he knew he was cornered by the residents, he attacked the guy with the shotgun and tried to take the gun away from him. The original district attorney declined to prosecute finding that no crime had been committed.
