I saw the video on yesterday’s evening news. The video showed the polar opposite of what the talking head described. The “jogger” charged at a man pointing a gun at him and tried to wrestle the gun away.
The story presented was that the two men, father and son, were trying to make a citizens arrest of the man who they claimed was responsible for a string of robberies, one of which they had just witnessed and were chasing the suspect. The 2 men might have been 100% wrong about the “victim”, and he may have been innocent. But he charged an armed man and tried to take his gun away. There is no way a jury is going to convict for murder with clear video showing the struggle.

I’d sure as hell convict them of murder! You make a citizen’s arrest if you catch someone IN THE ACT!
Otherwise, if it escalates to shooting, you are responsible for murder.
Kinda why there are laws against brandishing a weapon. Lots of wierd things happen if a gun is pulled....right or wrong.
Need to let all facts be determined before passing judgement...so far a classic “what could go wrong” lesson.
What had he just stolen? I don’t see him carrying anything as he jogs down the street. Is there a big screen TV in the pocket of his shorts?

I wonder what the reaction would be if an unarmed white man was accosted by two armed black men and he’d wrestled their weapon away and killed them. I suspect he’d be hailed as a hero.
