The Skeptic’s Guide to the Pentagon’s UFO Videos
motherboard ^ | 05/06/2020 | Matthew Gault

Mick West... extensively documents his efforts to provide alternative explanations for the Navy UFO footage that doesn’t involve alien visitors to planet Earth. According to West, FLIR is probably a “low resolution, out of focus, backlit plane.” In the FLIR video, the video focuses on a single UAP in the distance. It appears to rotate in place before zooming to the left of the frame. According to To the Stars Academy, this movement is “unprecedented velocity.”

...[A]s the camera stops tracking the object, it also changes the zoom. This switch from a 1x zoom to a 2x zoom gives the object the appearance of “teleporting” to the left. The craft, which was always traveling to the left, continues apace but isn’t followed by the camera anymore. That gives it its apparent speed. “This is perfectly consistent with something like a distant aircraft just flying along quite normally making no sudden movements,” West said on YouTube.

He believes GIMBAL to be a plane as well, lit by the infrared flare of the engine and locked in place by a trick of the gimbal mounted camera viewing it. In a series of several videos on his YouTube channel, West walks through how a gimbal mounted camera can produce the effects seen in the Navy footage, including the rotating glare and image sharpening in IR cameras.

...GOFAST is a balloon tracked by a camera and given unnatural speed by an effect called parallax--when viewed while moving, objects at different distances appear to move at different speeds. The To the Stars Academy release of GOFAST claims the object is moving quickly and low across water. West, using the data displayed in the camera footage, calculates the speed and distance of the perceived object. According to him, it’s actually moving slowly at a high altitude.

I just haven’t seen anything that strikes me as solid re:UFOs. That’s with it being said that there are UFOs - simply meaning something flying that you don’t know what it is right off the bat. Just there’s nothing of an extra-terrestrial nature that involves intelligence out there, just some stray rocks falling down on us.

Some items reported as UFOs are just “Os” - such as when people get excited when they mistake Venus for Uncle Martian dropping in for a visit in his saucer. Venus doesn’t fly in the earth’s atmosphere and since it’s Venus, it’s not unidentified, so - it’s just an “object”.

“—Hide classified projects with disinformation”

This is a big one. If a stealth plane got spotted in 1975 when it was still top secret, the government was not about to go “aw shucks, don’t panic, that’s just our new super secret spy plane the Soviets don’t know about.”

By the same logic, if whatever top secret plane they are developing now gets spotted, they are not going to admit it either. It would remain “unidentified” even if the government knows exactly what it is.

Absolutely! Set up a meeting. I have some questions for him.

You need to watch ALL the videos again.
Find the one where the say they see a disturbance under the ocean (BTW, i was not reported on any sensors, they saw it with bare eyeballs). The pilot comments he sees 2 tic-tags near it (again, with bare eyes the sensors are tracking a different object)

“You need to watch ALL the videos again.”

Yeah, I’m gonna schedule that for about the same time I schedule 9 hours of painful root canal work.
Seriously, it would be a waste of time for me - would be the same as listening to hours of white noise to hear ghost voices speaking to me.
When I as younger I was more into the paranormal stuff, not so much now. I’d rather just watch a Star Trek rerun or a good ghost story and call it a day.

Too many highly-qualified observers have observed UFOs for too many years for me not to be convinced.

I sure would like to see one of those bad boy motherships myself one day!

These “skeptic” explanations are complete bullshit and have been debunked by the military itself. They state quite clearly these are UFO, in the “unidentified” sense. You think the military’s experts didn’t consider all these theories to begin with? Second, the air force pilots report seeing these objects with their EYES.

Since there’s no one on record making such claims,

The pilots in question have been interviewed by different media since this came out, including for the Gimble UFO, with the pilot stating the video in question is actually edited short: there was a fleet of these objects that were moving bizarrely.

No one ever saw anything with their bare eyeballs.

Not true. Witnesses to the tic tac UFOs stated they looked out their cockpit at the object.

Videos are literally 30 seconds to a minute long each.

Not being disrespectful, it’s just not my cuppa tea. When they come up with real, actual honest-to-God photos of UFOs or aliens, I’ll give it a looksee.
But no one has ever come up with any in all the years photography has been around, other than the fakes that appear in kooky mags, movies and websites.
The Amityville ghost-boy pic is kinda cool, tho. But I don’t take it as being as much ghost as it is boy.
