Hubbard described himself as an anarchist and a socialist.[4]:149 He believed in social, economic, domestic, political, mental and spiritual freedom.[4]:ii
But i suspect it was still freedom for me, not for thee.
Ah yes, thank the Brits for loading it up with munitions who were begging the Krauts to sink it.
Lusitania torpedoed on May 7, 1915. U.S. declared war on Germany on April 6, 1917, nearly two years later, after Wilson had won reelection in 1916 with the slogan “Vote for Wilson who kept you out of the war!”
Yes, Woodrow Wilson was a statist and a globalist & tried to implement his Fourteen Points along with creating the League of Nations. But the U.S. never joined, and it returned to an isolationist view of the world as it concentrated on building domestic prosperity.
Wilson’s stroke ended his influence. The 1918 pandemic undercut internationalist sentiment as well. The U.S. military by treaty reduced to below prewar levels. “Foreign” now meant nefarious.
Wilson’s vision had to await FDR & the United Nations movement born out of WWII. Roosevelt wanted his own war, too.
“Never let a crisis to to waste.
Woodrow Wilson was Obama before Obama was Obama.
My top contender for most damaging President in History (and he has some stiff competition)”
Perfectly said. The left still likes him. They are clueless on such matters. Wilson was a traitor who deserved the gallows. He fraudulently gave us income tax and central bank too which you certainly already know.
Don’t forget “re-segregated civil service” also!
