Still not sure why the universities aren’t also held accountable in these cases.
They are at least as equally complicit, if not more.
LOL, it's a shell game they play and get away with it, Admissions policy is an oxymoron.
They were (allegedly) bribing employees at the universities. If they had bribed the whole university by subsidizing a building, funding a professorial chair or even buying a stack of season tickets from the field hockey team it would have been a charitable contribution. And if someone's kid gets bumped up the admissions list through a little mutual back scratching that always happens. But when you give money to the athletics director instead of twice as much to the athletics department it's bribery. See, it's crystal clear.
