I agree, and she didn't devise the scheme. Those that did are skating free and clear. She deserves to have the charges tossed.

If the Left lets anyone else weasel into their academia cabel, then all the businesses , tutoring, testing and sport scouts lose power. College Admissions like private high school admissions is only for those that play the game and can prove they are in the club.

They were (allegedly) bribing employees at the universities. If they had bribed the whole university by subsidizing a building, funding a professorial chair or even buying a stack of season tickets from the field hockey team it would have been a charitable contribution. And if someone's kid gets bumped up the admissions list through a little mutual back scratching that always happens. But when you give money to the athletics director instead of twice as much to the athletics department it's bribery. See, it's crystal clear.

Throw the briber in jail and let the bribee walk scott free. Never saw the justice in this. Bribing someone to get your spawn into the indoctrination center of their choice, especially when said spawn had no need or intention of using their “education”, was just stupid. She should pay a fine and go on with life.
Full disclosure: My wife watches Hallmark and I miss ogling Lori.
No college presidents have been arrested and they regularly take massive bribes.
