I have read that many are the total missing are found. The number of those never found is smaller.

I do believe the vast majority are runaways and cases where one parent absconds with the kids. However, the remainder is still an alarming number.

Don’t forget they include kids say 14-18 in that number. Usually when we think “children” we think a tender age of 11 or 12 and under. But I think a large number of children missing are teenagers who have sadly been dumped by their parents or are runaways, not to mention trafficking.
