They’re miserable bastards who enjoy feelings of so-called “empowerment” at the expense of others. They seem patriotic enough but underneath all of that are probably liberal democrats who can’t afford to be entirely honest about who they really are. They get a little star to wear on their foreheads but it’s one they give to themselves and pretty soon they’ll need a new one.
I could see a mega-liberal former phb-ette doing exactly the same thing in her home, er, people’s camp.

Is it surprising? Reckless idiots who wont follow the advice are putting their neighbours and more importantly their families lives at risk. I would warn them first, but if I didnt like their reaction, I’d dob them in too.
The French had a problem with “snitches” too during the war. They were called collaborators and were dealt with appropriately.
Bet these same snitches wouldn’t turn in: DWIs, domestic violence, child abuse, tax fraud, insurance fraud, drug pushers...
Unless the tip lines were overflowing before this, someone should ask the WuFlu narcs why they dummy up on all that other stuff...
