If it’s a sparkly attended by humans area then there may be other bears there.

Bears are kind of like mice but not as bad as roaches.
Since it is a sparsely settled area there could be a thriving population of brown bears there. While bears aren’t herd animals they don’t stray too far from others of their kind.
