I clearly remember watching Shula’s Dolphins back in their heyday. My dad’s favorite player was Larry Czonka. Mine was Mercury Morris, mainly because of his name.
Growing up a Raider fan in the 60’s and 70’s, I loved the toughness of Czonka, Kiick, and Morris,the Dolphin defense and the athleticism of Warfield, but to this day cannot stand Bob Griese.

I always thought what team I would like if I were not an Eagles fan. When I was a kid,I loved the Dolphins and liked watching Marino even though he went to Pitt being the arch rival to PSU.
