Btw, the female ghost in the blue early 1800s dress is known as “Prudence”, in case you should encounter her.
(I rather always hoped that I would see her, as I’m told that “sightings” are commonplace, including by the Alexandria Chief of Police & a Deputy District Attorney, who thought, when they saw her sauntering down a hallway, that she was “part of the tavern’s entertainment”.)

According to numerous local sources, “Prudence” never speaks to adults but has spoken numerous times to “the under 10 set” of guests, who report that she is: A nice older lady..

Thanks. I’ll probably try to go on an Alexandria ghost tour. I’ve been to a lot of the ghost tours in Virginia but haven’t hit this one up yet.
