Went to my local Wendy’s to get supper for the family and they had no beef, chicken only. They apologized for the inconvenience and said it was due to supply chain disruption. This is northeast Ohio. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
Had a bacon cheeseburger at Wendy’s today.
did the charcoal thing. was nice. never was a propane fan. tried it hated when it went out.
Never could figure out the square patties with the round buns.
Costco Rib eye grilled tonight. Bought a couple of weeks ago.
We have 2 10 pound ground round burgers with 4 burgers per pound. More Rib eyes, lamb chops and chicken breasts.

Went to Burger King (in Florida) today with my sister - I hadn’t been to one in YEARS - and there was no problem with getting burgers. However...for some unknown reason my local pizza place hasn’t been able to get chicken for their BBQ chicken pizzas! Weird.
I agree. I went to my local Safeway this morning and, except for the paper goods aisle, which was about 20% full, most of the rest of the place looked back to the REAL normal. And even that had an okay supply of toilet paper and paper towels, all things considered.
Yeah, there were some holes, but not like it has been the last month or so. I scarfed the last 3 frozen individual pizzas and the frozen veggies were a little sparse, but the rest looked like it did in February, before the Coronavirus Panic.
Are we turning the corner, in spite of what Emperor Gruesome it telling us? I sure hope so. The only way I knew today was Sunday was that the newspaper at my doorstep was thicker than the rest of the week. And even that’s down about 30% in weight, owing to fewer ads for crap I didn’t want anyhow!
Square patties allow the customer to see some beef barely sticking out from under the bun in 4 places; to have a round patty stick out that far would take more beef.
Any idea why the New York Strain seems so much more virulent ?
We have a KFC that has had no chicken for decades. Just total incompetence, not corona.
I went to the grocery store Friday evening - one that has a meat counter, no prepackaged meats. The line was backed up the entire length of an aisle, with no social distancing. (Didn’t bother me a bit.) After waiting a half hour in line (did bother me a lot and I made comments about the Soviet Union so everyone could hear), I ordered some chicken and they were out. Then I ordered a Boston Butt, which I had my pick. Just as I was leaving, the meat cutter that was waiting on me called me back over. I got the last 5lbs of chicken tights in the store.

To do nothing about the virus is to let it spread uncontrolled, with the result that millions of people would end up dying. The ways viruses spread is well understood; this one is a respiratory virus and spreads the way any other respiratory virus spreads. In order to stop the spread, those routes of transmission must be stopped.
I know that the social distancing measures are working, because I have been keeping records since Mar 12. On April 29, there were 3.1 million cases of Covid-19 worldwide. But if the virus were spreading at the same rate as before any social distancing measures were implemented, there would have been around 14.5 million cases by that date. This is how I know that quarantine is working.
Went to my local BurgerKing. They had no plastic straws. Was wondering if anyone else...

There might be toilet paper in the early hours but after work? I wouldn't expect it.
Don’t mind them. They’re ignorant and refuse to accept the social distancing mitigation efforts prevented the entire nation from looking like NYC.

My Brother worked at the Health Department and they would get the Big Coolers (6’ x 4’ x 4’) with Meds in them and the Meds got divided into the quantity for each Remote Location. For years He threw away the Big Coolers and on occasion keep one or two for Bambi Season and Fishing. One of His Hunting Buddies asked for a few of them and then next week more and more and more. Finally My Brother asked what He was doing with them ?
The guy said “cutting them up to insulate the Deer Camp Cabin. While Brother was a bit ticked off then He thought it turned out to be good idea both for Winter and Summer after someone else showed up with a Window A/C Unit to leave it for everyone to be able to also use it to put on Heat on in the Winter and A/C for Summer. Several of them have Generators and someone just had to remember it was their turn to bring one.
They also had a Spring up the mountain that was tapped to get Water with several 55 gallon plastic barrels to increase the pressure a bit and more volume as well. That led to an actual Kitchen Sink, Shower (yes they rigged up a RV Propane Water Heater) and last but not least a Urinal and a Toilet for the Ladies. Heck I lived in less than that...
