If I own a dine in restaurant, I would just close it down for 2020 and then reopen either in 2021 or 2022. If we survived the Great Depression, we will survive this. Consumer confidence is key here.

You own the building your restaurant is in you still have to pay taxes on that building plus water, light, sewer.. If your renting you business would be out on it’s ear if you didn’t pay the rent...

Very few restaurant owners own the building they operate in. If it was me, I would say “screw it” to rent, furlough my employees so they can collect unemployment. Them I can get a job working at Amazon for a year or two. Ha.
