Orange County Sheriffs deputies found Richard McGuire on Disneys Discovery Island on Thursday. He said hed been there since Monday or Tuesday and had planned to camp there for a week, according to an arrest report.
The 42-year-old said he didnt hear numerous deputies searching the private island for him on foot, by boat and by air because he was asleep in a building. He told the deputy he didnt know it was a restricted area, despite there being numerous no trespassing signs.
Orange County Marine deputies on Bay Lake used a public address system to tell McGuire he was not allowed to be on the property, but he remained on the island, anyway, according to the arrest report.
A security representative for Disney said she saw McGuire using a company boat Thursday, noting that the area had several no trespassing signs and two closed gates. She asked the agency to press charges.

Florida Man is not having a good year.
One of my favorite places @ WDW back when it first opened. Had Galapagos Tortoises there.
The kids and I found it the only interesting thing at Disney.

Hell of a lot of assets looking for a lone trespasser on a deserted island.
“deputies searching the private island for him on foot, by boat and by air...”
Off to The Peter Pan prison with him, its under the castle near where they keep Walts head.
Awesome! Stick it to the Rat!
Picture the most overgrown jungle island imaginable. Times it by ten. Properly trained, disciplined, and equipped, you could hide on that island as long as you wanted without being spotted.
You wouls not want to there now.
Sorry, you would not want to go there now.
Was there on a company retreat. At an evening party part of the event was having your picture taken with Mickey Mouse. The handlers failed to notice the beer I had tucked away in my jacket for the wait in line. I cracked the beer just before the camera went off and was tackled by security. The brand of Disney’s Mickey Mouse was micro-seconds from being forever ruined by having a bottle of Miller Light in the picture. They are some serious nut jobs at that place.
What did they do to it? It was so back to nature!
Ohnoes!
He was spotted by "Kompany Karen"!
It's like Senior Skip Day, only at 30 or 40 bucks an hour...
Ive never been to Disneyland. Why did they close off this island? In Florida Id be afraid of snakes and alligators there. I wonder what this guy was doing for clean water and food.
