First, your son is in my prayers. It must be heart wrenching to hear the pain he’s feeling... and not be able to make it better like you did when he was a child... My prayers are with your whole family.

I’m sure your son is telling the truth.

That said, New York and New Jersey seem to have tougher versions of the virus than strands in other parts of the country. The link below goes to a map that shows the number of deaths per 100,000 residents. New York has 120 deaths per 100K residents - - while California has 5 (five) deaths per 100K.

That’s a huge difference.

I suspect it’s NOT how and what patients are being treated with, but the strengths and strains of the virus at the point of infection. In short - if your son was in California or Georgia he would be having more success. Just a guess - but check out the map at the link... Again, your family is in my prayers.

Yes, which makes me wonder if the Chinese are trying to fool us into saving it for critical patients so more of us will die.

PRC China scientists started the specific medical research right after the covid outbreak in Wuhan.

RE: He has been working with COVID patients in the ICU. He told me that these drugs (hydroxychloroquine and zinc) have not made any improvements in survival rates

Why are they waiting for the patients to be in ICU to apply Hydroxychloroquine?

This is Not what the successful doctors like Dr. Zelenko recommends in his hundreds of successful cases. It has to be given on an OUTPATIENT basis — as early as possible, not when the patient is in the ICU.

And Zelenko uses a cocktail of three drugs — Hydroxychloroquine + Azithromycin + Zinc.

Did Northwell actually follow the Zelenko protocol? IT HAS BEEN PUBLISHED. He has a number they can call as well and he’d be glad to help them.

Very glad PRC China’s doctors and medical scientists didn’t take western media’s smearing propaganda seriously.

I’m all in on HCQ-Zpak-Zn. And I still wouldn’t believe a Chinese study if it concluded that water is wet. I consider this study to potentially be malignant disinformation.

What other underlying conditions do the ICU patients have? This information is needed to evaluate how to administer and if it will show efficacy. The virus affects the underlying condition and it is the condition that results in the patients demise, most likely.

Did your son say zinc? Because people don’t seem to get the Zn thing. They cannot think that HCQ has some magical quality by itself. It has an immunomodulatory effect, not enough to save someone who is crashing in the ER. It has all by itself a proven anti viral effect, but one that is modest to say the least. Azithromycin also has a modest anti-viral effect.

It is hoped that its (HCQ) function as a Zn++ ionophore will mean interference with viral replication. If it is impossible (it is not) to get labile Zn++ to the cells because of Zinc homeostasis, then there is no need to discuss this medicine any further. If they squeeze the trigger on an unloaded gun, why act surprised when it don’ go bang?

If they give a treatment which suppresses viral replication after the virus has already exploded, under what theory of efficacy would HCQ do any good? Same with Remdesivir which interferes with replication although in a different way.

We will be praying for your son!

https://www.thailandmedical.news/news/must-read-research-reveals-that-covid-19-attacks-hemoglobin-in-red-blood-cells,-rendering-it-incapable-of-transporting-oxygen—current-medical-protocol

There was some posts from an Italian article that is about how this virus attacks the blood but it looks like those have been removed because of a misleading belief that hydroxychloroquine in RA patients acts a prophylactic. But the part about the virus using hemoglobin as food and causing the blood to not be able to transport oxygen is interesting, the link above discusses that even though that one is weeks old. It is though this virus also affects the blood in a similar way that malaria does. I am getting the gist of that. And that hydroxychloroquine would also be effective against this virus in its own right not just as a transporter of zinc into cells. Perhaps.

Still, it will be my default position forever. The chicoms should not be participating in tomorrow. Anything from china is likely stained by chicom influence.

Remdesivir is probably worthless is a good assessment. I like the link buried within the article that has found 47 old drugs that could be repurposed, but that those are being studied.

At this moment Dr. Zelinko’s plan is best. It’s proof simply is how many of his patients would you expect to have wound up in the hospital, in the ICUs, and some dead based on how it had been impacting the Jewish communities around New York prior to his intervention. Those are the control group; Zelinko’s patients are the experimental group and there you have it.
