Come to the South and watch the Kudzu grow.
You’ll understand that its growth is 100% greater than anything you could cut down!
Watch out for that word: “sustainability”.
“Sustainability” is a lying concept based on fear - not fact, truth or faith - used more and more by the Left to promote Worldwide Totalitarian Government.
The American lumber industry can handle anything as long as the Government leaves them alone.
The Profit Motive can’t be underestimated.
If they make our future low carbon enough they will cause a mass extinction.
zpg nonsense
just like Stalin
Trees are a crop, like corn and tomatoes. I live in a working forest. Some parts are cut and replanted - others left to grow until mature then the cycle starts again.
Yeah but can you harvest kudzu and use it as a fuel to burn in a furnace? Kudzu leaves can be used as a food source for cattle, as a form of flour for baking, as a form of medicine to keep alcoholics from drinking...yet as a fuel to heat a house? It is not like a wood log. It is a vine with leaves...and it has huge roots. Just inquiring.
We have more trees in the US now than in 1800.
We have far less old growth trees, but we’ve planted many trees to become old growth.
They are out if ideas and recycling the 80’s now. Is Dr. Erlich still alive?
Coal is just ancient forests that got buried in the past. So what is wrong with burning ancient leaf mass.
As someone once said, “Coal is just ancient sunlight that caused trees to grow.”
Outlaw carbon. All carbon on Mother “Gaia” Earth must be packed up and willed by seance into oblivion. I’m sure Queen Pelosi can deem it so.
Bad enough that we have negative population growth in certain societies already.
“The American lumber industry can handle anything..” Thirty years ago I read that tree companies were developing trees that grew 40 feet a year. If that was 30 years ago, imagine what they have now. These were not lumber trees (perhaps for paper, paper towels, etc.), but nonetheless they were doing it. American ingenuity will get the job done, especially with a supportive President.
Come to Maine, the most heavily forested state in America.
Seemingly endless amounts of both hardwood and softwood.
Yeah, those Maine redwoods, longleaf and loblolly pines, cypress, and white and red oaks are assume! :)
only in the first world
cultural suicide
There must be cellulose there. Maybe dry it and press it into pellets for pellet stoves.
