May Day Protests To ‘Reopen America’ Take Place In Huntington Beach, Downtown LA

An organization called We Have Rights is in downtown Los Angeles and Huntington Beach, where beaches were closed by order of Gov. Gavin Newsom after large crowds descended last weekend.

In Huntington Beach, the demonstrators were shoulder-to-shoulder with beachgoers defying the beach closure orders. Several people were spotted riding bicycles and carrying surfboards to the water in defiance of the governor’s orders.

“I’m here because I want our salon open,” said protestor Tami Avants. “I think everybody is essential.”

An estimated 2,500 to 3,000 people were just feet from the shores, calling for the governor to end shutdown orders.

“The lockdown needs to stop,” said Cypress resident Robin Itzler. “We need to open up the economy. You can’t have a country of everybody hiding at home.”

In downtown Los Angeles, protesters from the same movement called for a walking protest and to gridlock the streets in and around Los Angeles City Hall.

“We can take other precautions,” said Eric Rodriquez, who joined the protest downtown. “But to shut it down? It’s a little too extreme.”

One of the main issues for the protestors was the loss of jobs since nonessential businesses were forced to close.

Democrats are used to being protected by the media and, in the cities especially, by a voting bloc. He’s laughing at these reasonable Americans and will continue to do so up until these crowds are banging on his very door. Simple reality, I’m afraid.

Could be a hopeful sign that a lot of regular Californians have just about had it with totalitarianism. Maybe even some who previously trended left are beginning to wake up.

Obviously it would be folly to expect a 180 degree turn by everyone, but the idea that anyone would even protest at all in CA, much less by the thousands and thousands, is impressive. Every movement has to start somewhere.

The video said Gov. Gavin Neutered is ordering the LEO to issue citations and put up barricades starting tomorrow.

Let the games begin.

May Day has a different meaning?

We're going to take it away from the commies as we did the color red (as in Red State).

WuFlu has been in California for months. Maybe since last year. Time will tell, but most urban and suburban Californians have already been exposed.

There are a lot more Rs in Ca than you realize. They are just outvoted by the masses in LA, SF areas. The same goes for many other states that are liberal. The big cities have the voting power to keep it liberal while destroying those that are keeping their state actually running.

I know folks here find this hard to believe, but some people just wanted to go to the beach.

That is it.

Not political.

(I used to live in Orange County back in the day, and most folks could not care less about politics—they just wanted to live their lives and be left alone.)

Hopefully these protests will plant the seed. It won’t happen immediately, but it’s encouraging nonetheless. Thanks for the info, btw; I had honestly thought it was 98% leftists out there,

Maybe so. But how many, especially those who have the ability, even want to get involved in government there, and run for office.

What good is being an R, if there aren't any good R's to vote for?

Gee how come you are buying into the bullshit and believe that we must treat this the same as the last three pandemics? You go right ahead and be a good sheeple, unless you are elderly and are at risk why should you be locked up?

I say this as a high risk individual, I had Pneumonia three times in two years, Asthmatic-severe, Diabetic and Hypertensive and most of I don't buy into this bullshit. I don't wear a mask unless required to shop and I don't shelter in place. And damnit I haven't died!

Dear God let the American people rebel against this fascist Unconstitutional bullshit!! I bet there isn't a state out there thats constitution allows for the confinement of healthy people.

Enjoy your California BS hate while you can, soon enough the Americans in other states will find their balls........maybe even you.
