I can believe the “wall moved” story. Reminds me of two others.
Raymond Berry was coaching some wide receivers on out patterns, let me show you. Ran the route and said the hash marks are wrong. They were.
Bill Bradley was shooting baskets, said the hoop was at the wrong height. It was.
He was a legendary driver alright, but also a legendary jerk.
He was awesome to us at Montreal’s Portofino. Thanks for the post, couldn’t believe what I was watching 26 years ago.
There were what sounded like a handful of McLaren road cars, but the standout car was Senna's 1993 Monaco winning car.
The people in the helicopter, I later learned, were Zak Brown - CEO McLaren Racing, Gil deFerran, and Mario Andretti.
She took Andretti's lunch order at the little counter service café. Said he was very nice.
Before all this happened, I worked part-time at Sonoma Raceway. I haven’t worked any private test days there, since I’m at my day job during the week.
I am itching to get back to a track!
Bkmk. My husband loves Formula 1.
I used to see Senna at the best restaurants in Sao Paulo. Always had a table with unreal beautiful girls. My hosts would invariably point to him and say in English, “Pole Position.”
I have a program from a Silverstone race meet in the early 80s with his name in it back when he was in formula 3 he went by Ayrton Senna DA Silva back then
good stuff indeed!!!
