Now why would they even have seed enough to fix their mouth to say that? Because, like I said, he was TEETERING ON THE VERGE of saying it, and it was all over the internet. They wanted him to say it so bad that they finished his sentence for him and ran straight to the pre-planned narrative. They played the 'hoax card'.
Trump knew even then, I'm quite sure, the true nature of the virus. That it was a weaponized attack from China. He knew how the derps would play it. He chose to play it the way he is playing it. It was the right tactic.
Trump even coming close to giving away the game at that early stage was a mistake, one which the derps pounced on. He took that away from them.
