“Massage parlor” is a euphemism for hand-delivered sex acts. Different thing entirely.

An ethical massage therapist is licensed and has specific training in anatomy, musculature, nervous system and bone structure and connective tissues within the body. It is like going to a doctor's office. Men leave their underpants on, and women leave both bra and underpants on, or wear a bathing suit or leotard.

You may have seen massage therapists depicted in movies about sports stars such as football players, who often use male massage therapists to relieve pain or avoid cramping up after strenuous games or workouts.
