Is it more than coincidental there is a rash of cases in nursing homes. . .tainted testing kits? tainted masks? There are cases in some areas with no incidences reported but the local nursing homes absolutely full of cases.

Is it more than coincidental there is a rash of cases in nursing homes. . .tainted testing kits? tainted masks? There are cases in some areas with no incidences reported but the local nursing homes absolutely full of cases. The two nursing homes here where I live are eat up with it because ONE PERSON, a traveling healthcare worker, saw patients in both facilities and then tested positive themselves. And, since they weren't testing anyone unless they showed systems, many of the young staff members became infected, but didn't know it because they were asymptomatic due to their age. That is how incredibly contagious this virus is, and it is deadly to older people.

Caregivers in nursing homes often work in multiple facilities. These workers are not highly skilled or highly paid. Additionally, many nursing homes are run with a shoe-string budget. In these cases, basic and deep sanitizing is not at the top of the priority list.
Unfortunately, many COVID-19 cases can be traced to the workers who spread the virus from patient-to-patient, and from one facility to another.
