Penguins at Singapore zoo are making the most of the partial virus lockdown, being given the run of the empty complex and revelling in the chance to do some exploring. With the zoo closed to the public as the country battles a worsening virus outbreak, the African penguins had little in the way of stimulation without passers-by stopping to admire them. So their keepers began taking them on outings around the complex, nudging the pint-sized explorers to check out the area around their exhibit and the children's playground.

Silly zoo-keepers. The only thing keeping them in there, was that they didn’t know what was out there. :)
Being directly on the equator and at sea level Singapore is like a sauna bath year round.It certainly was during my several visits there (January/February).One would think that penguins would have a very difficult time there...without A/C at least.

There are so many wonderful shows on “Animal Planet,” one of my favorites is “The Aquarium,” set at the Georgia Aquarium (best quote of any of the keepers, “Slimy is the new fuzzy!)
They did an episode about training the penguins to walk down a ramp to do a “penguin walk!”
