Avril Lavigne is honoring those on the frontlines amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The singer previously revealed that she re-recorded her Head Above Water track "Warrior" to honor the "heroic" efforts of those whose lives have been changed due to COVID-19. Now, Lavigne has debuted a music video for "We Are Warriors" on Thursday (April 30).
... The net proceeds from "We Are Warriors" will go to Project Hope, "an incredible organization that is on the front lines keeping doctors and medical staff safe all over the world."

Project Hope, Avril? This Project Hope?
"In 2002, Project Hope was reportedly involved with embezzlement of donations. National Audit Office confirmed that in 2002 it audited financial situations of Project Hope but the report was never publicised. Then head of the project Xu Yongguang later went on as vice director of China Charity Federation."
"In 2011 The Daily Telegraph reported that Project Hope accepts sponsorship from China Tobacco and allows schools to be named after cigarette brands, carry prominent pro-tobacco advertising, vend cigarette-shaped candy and sell individually-wrapped cigarettes outside school gates, in an attempt to create new smoking addicts to replace those dying of smoking-related diseases, without parents being aware of the dangers."
Sure seems like connection there, but I just can't see the thread that holds it together. And yes, I'm being sarcastic.
I really care, so I’ll sing in my underwear from my basement...

Just to clarify, this is the one she’s REALLY talking about: https://www.projecthope.org/
Avril was a Hillary supporter by all accounts, but, hey, if she can do some good, go for it.

I’ve been anxiously awaiting this.

Was the music put to all of the nurses and doctors Tik Tok videos they were choreographing when they were “so busy”?

After all these years you can rest easy now...
October 3, 2006 - Avril Lavigne has agreed that spitting at the paparazzi probably is not a good thing to do.
