John Denver was another of this ilk. It didn't work out too well for him, and one day we may be reading the same about Ford. This is the second incident like this.
I know for a fact that he's flown into SNA many times. That was my home airport. In the phone call to the FAA, he said he was confused about an airliner movement on the ground and the tower's warnings about wake turbulence. Ya, right. Time to retire, Ford.
My pilot buddy says Denver’s fuel tank selector was on the bulkhead behind his shoulder. 1) Seems like an odd place to put it, and 2) how could he not test it to make sure he could reach and operate it and if not, move it?

Very scary. When he has his final screw up, h.opefully it will just be him in the crash.
