And I just looked up the word “alcoholist” (cf. “alcoholism”) to see if it was in use; in some cases (and other languages) it’s actually used as a synonym for “alcoholic”.

lol I heard that one, too! Seems all those “Victorian” types just slapped “-ist” on stuff to be fancy. But I am SO going to use “alcoholist”! “Nancy Pelosi doesn’t like being called an alcoholic; she prefers the term ‘alcoholist’.” ;)

To the drive-through thing... Is that just a British thing? Our drive-throughs in Utah have been open since just after our internment began.
