What I am watching is the rest of the U.S., which has been in a LINEAR growth channel for a couple of weeks, but is now testing the upper boundaries of that channel.
It would be disappointing if the rest of the U.S. (non-NY) starts to accelerate; BUT, THAT IS NO EXCUSE FOR KEEPING THE NATION CLOSED.
I am 67. I WOULD RATHER GET THE CHINAVIRUS RIGHT NOW than keep the shutdowns going one single more day.

Meanwhile reported cases of the flu and pneumonia at an all time historical lows in 2020 (just guessing, don’t have actual numbers)?
New cases are increasing not in small part because testing is more available. Lots of people that didn’t even know they have (or had) the virus are now being counted.
