Same story here in Littleton, Colorado. Our NextDoorcom is filled with "Rachels/Karens" and I've learned not to swim in that infected cess pool, per politics. However, when I have stumbled accidentally on some Beta's toesies, I'll hit hard on any cowardly rude attacks or idiotic postulations or phoney virtue signals and call them out by name, and very effectively. I can always tell when it has been crushing, because that's when the MODS are flagged. They then passive aggressively admonish me. I never start it, but I'll happily and publically finish it, yet it's me who's the bad guy. I like how the Dr. handled herself! However, I'll bet she's the one whom the MOD will address in that thread.
OH, AND A PIECE OF TRIVIA: Has anyone here, who uses NextDoor, noticed that it's usually the Karen types who start their scolding Covid lectures with "Look, People!..."
Love it. You might appreciate this story. During a power outage here in NorCal last fall we were all buying ice to put in our freezers. One of the Karens flagged me down in the street: did I know where to get ice — specifically dry ice? Knowing she was low-info global warmer, I admonished her with, “You do know dry ice is CO2, right?” She replied, “Ooh, you’re right. Thanks for the reminder.”
