Agreed, great actor.

But I remember a time when I thought a person at 53 years old was middle aged if not “old”. Heck I remember when anyone over 40 was “old” and old enough to remember the saying in the 60’s – “never trust anyone over 30”.

That a 53-year old is now considered “young” is perhaps an indication to our overall increased life expectancy and improvement in overall health.

It’s also relative as the older I get (now 59), the younger I am compared to those really “old” people (70-80+) and the younger than those younger than I seem.

I recall seeing a doctor in the ER about 2 years ago when I had a severe upper respiratory infection causing an uncontrollable nose bleed and a dangerous spike in my BP - this doctor was probably in his early to mid-30’s and me thinking he’s such a “kid” and the same age as my nephew who I used to baby sit and change his diapers. He was in fact a very good doctor but he looked like Doogie Howser to me.
