In my high school we were required to read “Animal Farm” by George Orwell. Then we held lengthy debates over the tenants. Too bad it was dropped for these folks.

I read all of those political thrillers when I was a kid. I remember going in for surgery when I was 13, having Lord of the Flies for reading material, and my surgeon asked if I wasn’t too young to be reading that.

While normal people would take those books as warnings, leftists think of them as guidelines. Remember the comments that Hillary made about 1984? That it was an example of what happens when people don’t trust their government? Because she longs for that kind of control over the populace, she did not see the dystopia as being a bad thing.
