Thanks, but I won’t buy a GE appliance now. (Few American manufacurers anymore. Japanese, maybe?)

Only the Appliance division of GE was sold to Haier.

Many years ago, GE also sold the rights to their electronics division to Thompson, a French company. We don't see many GE radios or TVs any more. They also sold their irons to Black and Decker, who ruined the best all-purpose steam iron available for consumers.
