I said I didn’t think I deserved it ! But when I saw dual citizen Israelis living in Israel and Israeli green card holders were getting it thought why shouldn’t I ??? Explain that to me .
I’ll ask it for the 100th time - how do FReepers turn a subject around so fast? Show me where I said that you SUPPORT any of the stimulus package. The original post said that SS recipients shouldn’t receive it and I agreed. You turned that original post around to “unemployment”...
One is about SS benefits - the other is workers unemployed! Simple! What did one have to do with the other?
Ours was direct-deposited last Wednesday.

As for me, I’m Mojave, so this my land to begin with.
That compared those on SS with those who were forced out of work.I did not turn the original post to unemployment.
Today the 29th I finally received my stimulus money and have already spent it paying my bills. Not even a single red penny left over.
I checked my bank account this morning. Lo and behold the stim check with the expected amount went into it yesterday. I was kinda socked! Very nice because I was on the verge of going to the IRS site to try and straighten this out. I am glad I didn’t waste time on that!

Went to the bank today ( May 2 in Japan ) and received just our monthly SS payment . No stimulus money .
June 14th and still have received nothing . Non-filers on IRS website now will accept foreign address and other info but NOT bank info . If I leave bank info blank so I can get a check it gives me an error message . Totally useless for expats . I heard that SSI - which I am on - will be supplying IRS with direct deposit info but that could just be a rumor . What a mess . Typical of government agencies .
