Back in the late 1960's or 1970's there was a movie about a family that went into a bomb shelter because of a nuclear attack. Months later the father went outside and discovered that it was all a hoax. There was no nuclear fallout. It was all about the power of fear. Exchange the bomb shelter for a face mask. Does anyone remember the title of the movie? Maybe it was a Twilight Zone episode?

Also, rather than relying only on your imperfect memory, you should have looked it up on the Internet Moview Database. Then you would have known that Harry Dean Stanton did not appear in that episode.

I remember one of the TV Series did something like that Outer Limits or Twilight Zone and it was in that a nuclear disaster that they built a giant dome over the contamination site - his wife and children left him in the bunker as he refused to leave and he was trapped inside the sealed dome surrounded by wreckage
