Is the seven year period one of God pouring out His wrath? Does the Bible say we believers are appointed to that wrath, or does it instead say we are not appointed to wrath?

Do you believe 1 John 3:9 says it is God Who abides in the spirit of believers? Why yes it does. So would God appoint such spirits to wrath? (HINT: there is no such thing or place as purgatory.)

The wrath doesn't begin until the first bowl of wrath. Read what the souls under the alter say at the fifth seal. They know the tribulation period hasn't begun yet.
