Microsoft is now a defacto Indian company. With crap Indian quality that slows...
I have two boxes. One is Linux. One is W7 and will stay W7 until I cannot use it any more. I keep it to continue to use certain legacy programs that date back to W95 on which I rely. I have tried to ease over into modern programs but the boxfuls of bells and whistles makes them entirely too top heavy.
So, all those scammers who call you from Calcutta to offer help with your computer problems really do work for Microsoft after all?
Would like to see sources for that, please? Microsoft numbers over 200K employees. Over half of those employees are US-based. Please don't spread FUD if you can't back it up.
I work at a company Help Desk internal support and Windows updates are being pushed out. I had 3 calls last week where the caller was stuck at the Dell screen with a spinning circle. One was lucky that it eventually got to the desktop but the other 2 are having to ship the pc in to have it re-imaged. I saw other emails about other call with same issues.
Another to common screen is after you log in, you see the Welcome screen for several minutes or forever.
One workaround is to do ctrl, alt, del on the keyboard and choose Task Manager. You should see the desktop screen and then you can close the Task Manager.
Hard to argue that point. Then again, I converted all my machines @ home to Ubuntu 20.04 and have been a Microsoft free home for 4-6 weeks now. Nothing I cannot do on Ubuntu that I used to do on Windows.
