I agree, all plans were bad for us.

Partial Shut Down, social distancing was the best plan of a really shiatty problem, its saves the most lives, stops the rapid spread and allows the economy, hopefully to recover over the next 3-4 years.

Letting it rip would have gotten way more sick, more deaths and would have caused the economy to collapse and possible mass civil unrest. I don’t think this would have been the “solution” we would want even though some here actually believe the entire economy wouldn’t have been effected? Can you run a business if a majority of your employees are getting sick, going to the hospital and pass away?

Nobody is calculating the costs of letting it rip and of course our hospital resources, the death and carnage will be in the millions, and the cost to the economy would be in the trillions

There could have been a third option, more targeted approach, but we were past that since someone in the CDC screwed up the test kits. But that option went away once the Iranian Woman (I believe a plant) had the virus and was all over the subway system

Why is the NYC Subway system still operating?
