“A friend knows someone who has a beef herd and has been told by NYS they have to reduce the size of their herd by a certain percentage or they would be fined.”
I heard the same thing about dairy industry, they were told cull their heard to keep the prices up by lowering the supply. There was a news article in the last week or so about that.
