I believe that is correct insofar as lengthening shelf life, but there is a limit even to refrigerated beer. The alcoholic content is simply insufficient to prevent a long-term breakdown. Most wines and hard liquor are, of course, a different story.

As long as it stays refrigerated itll be fine. As a craft beer home brewer I can tell you that is not the case. Beer will usually start to break down within 3-4 months of storage. Higher ABV beers will be ok a bit longer but will still go bad eventually.
Unless of course you like bad tasting beer. Then all bets are off!

Not true. Piss samples have to go the lab within 24 hours of being refrigerated.
