I applaud Whitsett for being willing to at least talk to our President. The Dems like Whitmer (their names are so close its confusing) need to grow up and quit being so childish.
With that said, Whitsett is nobody to be championed just because she reached across the aisle. She is just acting somewhat normal, which is a rarity from Dems these days.
Whitsett is a huge fan of pulling out the race card when she doesn’t get her way. In this case I bet she does it again.
You are correct, this doesn’t automatically make her a Trump supporter. Key takeaway here is that being civilized towards Trump gets ANY Democrat called on the carpet and ostracized. She is being metaphorically flogged for what the party sees as stepping off the plantation.
The gentleman in Georgia made it quite clear who and what he supported. I would not be surprised at all if he and his family received death threats.
