Dependence on an adversary is not a good thing. Those pushing it with China seem to favor the power that communism brings to a few. This seems to appeal to some and I have observed that is especially appeals to atheists.

When people stand for nothing, they'll fall for anything.
Outsourcing is one thing, stripping a countries ability produce strategic goods goes way beyond shifting toy and cosmetics production.

This company has been around since 1926. They seem to sell info to anyone, but the sellout to China is stunning. Top management is China centric. Two top silicone valley CEOs are alumni.
