Why is NYC's death rate 250 times higher than Tokyo's?

The Japanese are a very clean people.

New York City people?

You figure it out. Dp0622 might beat me up if I say.

The CHINAVIRUS bioweapon was aimed at the U.S., not Japan.

Duh.

Tokyo is clean so has few cases, even with their crowded subways.

But it might be a combination of crowded housing, and culture.

But Singapore, which is also clean, is fighting a major outbreak in the poorer part of the city where migrant workers are housed in crowded dormitories.

Few visiting Singapore ever go into these areas but when we visited there, a friend took us there to shop at the local equivalent of dollar store because I was too big for upscale clothing made for petite Chinese ladies, but the Indian stores had my size because the clothes were for their buxom ladies. The stores and the neighborhood reminded me of a US inner city, but not quite as dirty.

In New York, I suspect traveling on filthy subways and buses are partly to blame, but also because many who were infected were caregivers, or others in contact with the sick.

And I wonder why Manila has so few cases...the shutdown here is strict, but everyone knows the out of work men are gathering at homes to drink and play cards etc...the problem is so bad they plan to stop the sale of alcohol.

Largely sea-based & vegetable-based diet. Plus they wear masks routinely during flu/cold episodes. They probably smoke more as well.
