I felt it -- especially when I was out in the open on tornado watch -- and could hear the roar passing just to the south of us -- and as i hit the porch at a dead run -- just before the really damaging hail hit...
Bless our local electric co-op! The main line that runs all the way from their station 20 miles to the NW of us to the LA line crosses our front yard, and when the lights cut off suddenly, I had a good idea of how far to the NW of us the storm was. The Co-op folks got the main line up (and our power back) about 1.5 hours after the storm took it out!
We're still checking on friends & family who were near the expected track of the tornado, So far, so good! :-)
