You can find this fun quotation puzzle, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications. I challenge us with the best ones out there. The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, youll be solving them all within a few days. If youre stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hals Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
HAL'S CRYPTOGRAM HELPER
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please dont put the actual words of the quote in the clue.

Never heard of the author, and I do not agree with the sentiment.

It is that 11th word. Unusual pattern. I can only think of two words that fit that pattern. One has to do with a saint and the other with biology.

It bugged me that I did not recognized the 11th word. It is not terribly unusual, but not very common either. It’s a word everyone knows.

Clearly there is another word, because the two I refer to do not work.
To: MustKnowHistory
Ignore the 11th word. Take a (few) stab(s) at the first two. When you hit it, it will be clear.

If you guess the first word, the 11th should come to you.

Okay, that was kind of hard. I muddled around for about 15 minutes. LOL!

my mind got stuck that “KNECJD” was a particular word and couldn’t get off it for a few minutes, then it hit me.
after a couple of easy ones, it was good to get humbled today.

A tad ‘tricky’...
I hate people who hate.
I have absolutely no tolerance for intolerant people.

That’s why you never heard of the author

Good one today! I got it in less than 5 minutes but taking several stabs at the first word until one finally clicked. Then the rest sort of fell into place.
